How Can numbness In The Face Along With Headache Be Treated?

I had a sudden sense of numbness on the right side of my face on 3/17/17 in the evening. It lasted for approximately 2 1/2-3 hours. When waking the past couple of days. Particularly on 3/18/17 I felt very tired and weak. Still do not feel completely well at this time. Have had headaches on a daily basis for quite a while. Which is relieved slightly with Tylenol. I understand that it may have been a TIA. Is there anyway that it could be detected? Or at least ruled out? My Mother had a massive stroke 12 years ago. Cannot speak or move her right side at all. Father died at 51 from a massive MI.
